Horribly out of focus, but I was rushing to start chowing down~! I'm sure I've mentioned what a great cook my dad is. I'm in food heaven here at Chez Crowley. Here's what we had last night, with a moderately good Fetzer Sauv Blanc. 4 Lamb Chump Chops (Fatty and lots of bones), grilled in a dry cast-iron pan, 3 min. each side. Place each chop in large piece of foil, layer on tomatoes, onions, garlic, dried oregano, black pepper and Gruyere cheese sliced. Seal tightly, leaving space at the top to avoid the cheese sticking to the foil. Place in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1.5 to 2 hours. Lamb is fall off the bone tender and the taste is tremendous. We served with a plain white rice and cold artichokes. |
